as i was listening to her song, i decided to wikipedia her,
it turns out to be she is from the The Philippines!
no wonder she have this malay vibe...
hehe so that i called it~

her real name is Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco and it was shorten into Charice (as it is a portmanteau of her first two names ).
she was born on 10th may of 1992. (what the fish? she's a year younger then me!)
and now she is an international singer and she was recognized through YouTube.

ok, now let see, what have she done...
(only the interesting parts to me....)

in 2007-2008:-
After a video of her singing the Dreamgirls anthem "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" became a hit on a Korean video sharing website, Pempengco was invited to the South Korean talent show Star King. In the October 13, 2007 edition of the show, she performed "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and "A Whole New World" with Kyuhyun from a popular South Korean boy band Super Junior.

ok, that is just blow of my mind! she gotto to duet w kyuhyun??

After seeing her Star King performance on YouTube, Ellen DeGeneres extended an on-air invitation for Pempengco to be a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Pempengco flew to the United States for the first time and performed two songs on the December 19, 2007 episode of the show - "I Will Always Love You" and "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going".[6][7][8]

After her appearance on Ellen, Pempengco made a second appearance on South Korea's Star King as the "Most Requested Foreign Act" on the December 28 edition of the show. She performed Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and sang a duet with singer Lena Park.

seriously? ellen? huh!

in 2009

Pempengco made a cameo appearance in her first feature film, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, which was released in North America on December 23.[61] She is also part of the official movie soundtrack with her rendition of "No One" by Alicia Keys accompanied by The Chipettes.

no wonder i feel like i have seen in the movie!
so i WAS right!

in 2010

The Pyramid Remixes EP debuted at #46 on the Billboard Dance/Club play songs charts on the week of March 6, 2010.

hey, it's my birthday~!!

Her self-titled international debut album with Warner Records was released on May 11, 2010. And on the same day as part of her album launching, she again made a guest appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

it's oprah ya'll!!!

Josh Groban did comented on her voice though~
In a separate interview, Josh Groban stated that Charice's voice is one of the most beautiful voices he has heard in a long time.
